A recognized services company is seeking a seasoned OutSystems Engineer/Architect to drive the modernization of legacy enterprise systems through a low-code development approach.
Responsibilities:
Design and maintain scalable and secure OutSystems-based architecture aligned with business goals and IT standards Define and implement a legacy modernization roadmap, focusing on core banking system integrations and interoperability Lead a cross-functional engineering team in the delivery of low-code solutions Oversee end-to-end development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, build, testing, deployment, and support Drive workflow migration, automation of loan origination, and AI-based credit decisioning implementations Guide UAT, performance, and security testing efforts using automation tools and frameworks Manage phased migrations and production rollouts, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations Implement real-time monitoring and proactive issue resolution in production environments Provide expert-level support for optimization efforts post-deployment, ensuring compliance, performance, and reliability Use KPI tracking and user feedback to iterate and enhance solutions Act as a technical liaison across departments including IT, Risk, Finance, Product Management, and Analytics Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions that align with risk mitigation strategies Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Enterprise Application Development, including team leadership and architecture roles. 3+ years of experience with the OutSystems low-code platform Proven experience in modernizing legacy systems and integrating with core APIs (preferably in banking or finance) Deep understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and QA automation Strong knowledge of Performance Optimization, Security standards, and Compliance best practices Exceptional communication skills; ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Desired Skills:
OutSystems Professional Developer or Tech Lead certification Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) Familiarity with AI/ML integration in enterprise workflows Experience in a Banking and/or Finance setting
