UGM is excited to start hiring our Lewiston Shelter team! We had hoped to be open by now; however, the Lord had different plans! As we have had to pivot we wanted to share with you our revised timeline.

We have been told we can open around the end of January, so we are gearing up to start the second interviews over the next 3-6 weeks. While we are hiring a select few positions to start sooner, we will set our main onboarding to take place in the first week of January.

In the first few weeks of January we will have 3 days of training in Spokane (group transportation will be made available, housing with either UGM families and some of our Aftercare housing in Spokane as well) and most meals will be included.

Summary of Position

The Warehouse Service Coordinator manages the LC Valley Shelter's food and material-donation, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, rotation, and distribution of goods that support men, women, and families in shelter programs. The role supervises volunteers, maintains safety and compliance standards, collaborates with kitchen and program teams, and nurtures relationships with donors and community partners.

Key Result Area #1

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Oversee day-to-day warehouse workflow, layout, and cleanliness Develop and maintain systems for receiving, inspecting, storing, rotating, and issuing food and non-food items Maintain accurate digital inventory (e.g., Link2Feed/Virtuous, Excel) for audit and planning purposes Coordinate daily pulls for kitchen and program needs; ensure first-in/first-out rotation Uphold Idaho food-safety standards and UGM policies; keep current DOT medical card, forklift, and food-handler certifications Submit and track maintenance and equipment service requests Key Result Area #2

Donor & Partner Relations

Schedule and complete donor pick-ups (Idaho Food Bank, grocery stores, local farms, etc.) and deliveries with a spirit of gratitude and professionalism Record Gift-in-Kind values monthly and report to In-Kind Resources Director Cultivate positive relationships with food banks and local agencies; participate in community networking meetings as assigned Key Result Area #3

Volunteer & Team Leadership

Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse volunteers and resident volunteers Provide clear job descriptions, safety orientation, and ongoing coaching Ensure volunteers log hours in VOMO and practice UGM Core Values Hold brief "huddle" meetings to cast vision, review goals, and pray with the team Supervise guests assigned to warehouse work-therapy, document hours and performance in Waypoint Collaborate with Client Services teams to set goals and provide skill development Key Result Area #4

Administration & Compliance

Operate within approved budget; submit invoices, fuel logs, and credit-card receipts weekly Prepare monthly statistics and KPI reports for Shelter Leadership Maintain SOP manuals, safety binders, and training records Keep warehouse vehicles clean, fueled, and scheduled for preventive maintenance Support major ministry events with logistics, supplies, and transport as needed Other Duties: This job description is not intended to be exhaustive. Committed Christian, able, and willing to model servant-leadership and interested in being part of a ministry for the poor, homeless, drug addicted and mentally ill. Grounded in the Christian faith as a mature, active member of the body of Christ. In accordance with Union Gospel Mission Statement of Purpose, Statement of Vision, and Statement of Faith.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30?days) Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook); able to complete documents, reports and accurately record information. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Teachable spirit and the ability manage multiple emotional and task related variables, listen, and make sound decisions in alignment with UGM's purpose. Able to lead and motivate diverse volunteers and guests Minimum 3-5 years of sobriety, if in recovery.
