Location: Brown Elementary School Custodial night person to work Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 pm to maintain and protect our facility.
The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. Work is performed with the intent to ensure a safe, clean, and fully functional physical environment that is conducive to learning for staff, students and community members.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. They will have the physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.
Responsibilities: - Perform custodial duties to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas - Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors - Empty trash cans and replace liners - Clean and sanitize restrooms - Dust and wipe down surfaces - Restock supplies as needed - Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor repairs - Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment
Experience: - Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred - Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment - Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as buffing floors is a plus - Ability to work independently and efficiently - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
