The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Cloud Solutions Specialist in the Enterprise & Cloud Solutions Division.

The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) is the Commonwealth's consolidated information technology organization. We are a national technology leader in the public sector connecting Virginians to critical government services through information and innovation technology, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and governance.

We are seeking a customer-centric Cloud Solutions Specialist who can align their experience with the agency's mission and its core values: accountability, inclusive collaboration, growth mindset, effectiveness, and persistence.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Provide technical oversight, guidance, and consulting for services offered by VITA's Business Platform Solutions team.

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in support of VITA's implementation of Microsoft GitHub and other Microsoft Azure products.

Position will provide expertise in developing enterprise solutions using Microsoft's GitHub and Azure products.

Configure, develop, deploy, and support customized intranets, collaboration web sites, applications, and solutions.

Provide GitHub and Azure product support by analyzing specifications, designing logic, writing code, customizing products, testing, debugging, and documenting software for VITA and VITA's Business Platform Solutions customers.

Minimum Qualifications

Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:

Entry level professional IT experience

Entry level working knowledge of version control concepts

Entry level experience with GitHub or Git

Entry level understanding of cloud computing concepts

Entry level knowledge of identity and access management

Entry level experience with internal and external stakeholder

Entry level experience documenting steps, creating knowledge articles, and explaining technical features clearly

Entry level experience in meeting deadlines

Entry level knowledge of Commonwealth IT standards such as SEC-530 and EA-225
