Urgent Need For a Float Phlebotomist - $25 Hourly Rate Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Phlebotomist with a minimum of two years of phlebotomy experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using straight and butterfly needles and possess a strong commitment to patient care. Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data. Decontaminate equipment and update patient information accurately. Explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection methods clearly and courteously. Check test requisitions or computer labels against scripts for accuracy. Place samples in appropriate collection containers and follow protocols to maintain specimen integrity. Proficiency in specimen collection, phlebotomy, patient care, and venipuncture. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable car. This position requires travel throughout Bronx, MT Vernon, and Yonkers, with tolls and parking costs reimbursed. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours varying between 8am-8pm. There is potential for consistent overtime, with every other Saturday requiring work from 9am-2pm.
