Century Group has partnered with a great company in the construction industry who is searching for an Accounting Manager to join their team. This position will be responsible for providing support of financial reporting to management, preparing tax filings, assisting with financial reviews/audits. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $90,000 to $130,000 per year.

Job Description:
  • Assist in the financial close cycle including journal entry posting
  • Assist with annual GL, auto, worker's comp audits and renewals
  • Assist with internal and external audit preparation
  • Assist with month/quarter/year end closings and monthly/quarterly review of trial balances, P&L and balance sheets
  • Manage FSA account reconciliation
  • Prepare and maintain fixed assets depreciation schedules
  • Prepare and reconcile sub-ledgers
  • Prepare filings of secured and unsecured property taxes
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation, credit card, and employee reimbursement reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of bonding
  • Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns, sales & use tax returns
  • Prepare quarterly sales/revenue tax reporting
  • Prepare sales tax filings
  • Prepare year-end 1095s, 1099s, 1096's, 941's, 940's, and W2s

Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4 years minimum experience in accounting
  • Construction accounting experience preferred
