Qualifications:
- Required: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Gifted Education.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Gifted Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
- Experience working with gifted learners in an elementary or middle school setting.
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, enrichment strategies, and social-emotional needs of gifted students.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for fostering an engaging, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating learning environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum for gifted and talented students in grades K-8.
- Utilize differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs, emphasizing problem-solving, inquiry-based learning, and creativity.
- Assess students' abilities, strengths, and needs using formal and informal assessments to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
- Provide enrichment opportunities, including project-based learning, STEM activities, and cross-curricular experiences.
- Integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences to enhance student engagement.
- Support students in developing leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with families.
- Stay current with best practices in gifted education and participate in professional development.
