HR Coordinator – Simpson Manufacturing Company, Inc.
Base pay range: $27.84/hr - $44.52/hr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience; discuss with your recruiter to learn more.
Job Overview
As the Human Resources Coordinator you will partner with HR Business Partners, the HR Team, and Branch leaders to drive company initiatives. You will create a positive employee relations environment, maintain confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, and balance business needs with employee needs while interfacing directly with the employee base.
Key Responsibilities (% of Time)
Attract, Hire and Engage a No‑Equal Workforce (50%)
- Assists within the recruiting process and acts as the primary onboarding representative, engaging quality candidates; orients new employees to Simpson and their departments; supports supervisors through transition milestones.
- Creates and maintains personnel files and other onboarding processes; interfaces with payroll to ensure HRIS accuracy; processes terminations including final check requests and collection of company property.
Drive and Support a Values‑Based Culture
- Partners with employees and managers to resolve conflict effectively.
- Supports branch and company HR initiatives, sustaining cultural elements while supporting change.
- Empowers employees to utilize systems and programs and documents policies, procedures, and reports as needed.
- Represents Simpson and the HR department’s vision, mission, and values at all times.
Implement Sustainable and Scalable HR Processes (30%)
- Provides exceptional, no‑equal customer service to employees, external customers, management, and HR counterparts.
- Assists with employee services and programs; responds to government agency requests (employment verifications, garnishment notifications, payroll deductions).
- Manages other coordinator duties and activities as assigned.
Elevate Leadership Capabilities and Prepare Next‑Generation Workforce (20%)
- Partners with L&OD to support Strong Leaders, Mentorship, and other learning and development programs; drives participation and engagement to increase leadership skills and effectiveness; facilitates monthly step‑up sessions.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, Communication, Liberal Arts, or equivalent; at least 5 years of equivalent work‑related experience.
- One year of progressive HR experience focusing on training, full‑cycle recruiting, employee relations, policy interpretation, administration, and performance management.
- HR certification such as HRCI or SHRM related.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present information to top management and stakeholders.
- Teamwork: Collaborative approach with all Simpson employees; commitment to mutually beneficial solutions.
- Interpersonal skills: ability to hold confidential information.
- Accountability and dependability: fulfill commitments to customers, peers, and managers; produce high‑quality results.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Physical demands: sit, talk, hear, walk, stand frequently; occasionally push or lift up to 25 lbs.
Work environment: professional office environment with standard office equipment (computers, phones, printers, scanners).
Travel: 10% domestic.

Full‑time, hourly position located in Pleasanton, CA or Plano, TX.
