Century Group is hiring: Accounting Manager in Los Angeles

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $115,000 to $125,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting in line with GAAP
• Perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across all accounts
• Manage inventory accounting, including costing, valuation, and reporting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Oversee payroll processing, fixed asset tracking, and sales tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial analysis, system upgrades, and audit preparation

Requirements:

• At least 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in retail, fashion, or manufacturing
• A strong working knowledge of US GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or ApparelMagic
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills for managing complex financial data
• Proven ability to work independently with a high level of accountability and discretion
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
• Prior experience supporting wholesale, retail, or direct-to-consumer business models
