A Non-Profit Accounting Manager is needed to work in Oakland to supervise Accounts Payable and Payroll. Work on-site Monday-Friday in a team oriented, passionate environment. Hands on experience processing high volume Accounts Payable and a Payroll of 300+ employees is key to succeeding in this role as the Supervisor may need to pitch in and help cover when workload demands are high. Expected starting base salary $40 to $45 per hour. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, year end close, and monthly financial reporting Assist weekly cash flow projection Prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries Support budget and forecasting activities Prepare annual Form 990 supporting schedules Assist with annual 403(b) audit and workers comp audit Adherence to internal controls policies and safeguarding of information Direct supervision of Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist Ensure timely payroll process, and accuracy of payroll data entry Ensure company payroll policy is accurately followed Provide training to new and existing staff as needed Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Excel Ability to present financial information in an organized, understandable manner for both financial and non-financial audiences Bachelor's degree in Accounting Thorough knowledge of GAAP and general accounting, with emphasis on job costing or fund accounting
