More About the Role

  • Greet and welcome patients to create a great first impression.
  • Manage front‑office duties: answering phones, checking mail and email, communicating with patients and insurance companies.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
  • File patient insurance claims, verify benefits, and explain coverage.
  • Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivables.
  • Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
  • Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems for optimal office performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a dental practice.
  • Access to PHI necessary for job functions; regular HIPAA training required.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
  • Team player with excellent communication, organization, and multi‑tasking skills.
  • Adaptability, sense of urgency, and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years of insurance billing and accounts receivable experience.
  • Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer.
  • Can lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Availability for virtual or in‑person training sessions throughout the year.
