Gaithersburg Architectural Millwork, a high‑end architectural millwork firm is seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver (non‑CDL) to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering packages and goods to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery trucks to transport millwork products to job sites and clients.
• Pick‑up and deliver to vendor sites.
• Assist with warehouse tasks, including organizing inventory, receiving shipments, and preparing orders when deliveries are slow.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and delivery vehicles.
• Assist with packaging and securing materials for safe transport.
• Collaborate with production and logistics teams to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass the DOT requirements.
• Experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or logistics (millwork or construction industry a plus).
• Comfortable driving large box trucks in and around the DMV area.
• Regional and long haul driving along the east coast. Not typically more than a few hours outside the region.
• Ability to operate a delivery vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and safety protocols.
• Ability to lift and carry packages and goods up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work varying schedules and overtime.

Required Skills / Abilities

• Ability to drive safely.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web‑based or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.

Education and Experience

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.

Travel Required

• Regularly.
