The Role As a Senior Controls Engineer, you’ll take projects from concept through commissioning. You’ll program, troubleshoot, and optimize software solutions that bring our machines to life. You’ll collaborate across disciplines and ensure our systems deliver performance, reliability, and innovation.
What You’ll Do
Develop, install, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, motion control, robotics, and vision software solutions.
Collaborate with project managers, mechanical, and electrical teams to align software with machine functionality.
Participate in design reviews, providing technical insights and guidance.
Support debugging, runoff, and acceptance testing of automation systems.
Mentor junior engineers and help advance team software design practices.
Travel occasionally (domestic & international).
What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 5-10 years in electrical/software design or engineering (special machine industry experience a plus).
Skills:
Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, motion control, LabVIEW, and vision systems.
Strong grasp of structured software design principles.
Proven ability to debug complex automation systems (software, wiring, mechanical).
Technically creative—able to design solutions that are robust and cost-effective.
