JOB SUMMARY The Environmental Engineer VI will provide comprehensive review and approval of engineering documents including design plans, technical specifications, bid packages, spill prevention plans, and air construction permits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manage multidisciplinary environmental projects (e.g., water/waste management, remediation, sustainability)
Develop technical work plans, proposals, scopes of work, and budgets
Prepare and review environmental reports and designs
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Collaborate with regulators and internal teams
Mentor junior engineers
Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings
Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s and Eocene Environmental Group’s culture of safety and employee ownership
Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Specialized certifications (e.g., PE license)
15+ years practicing as a professional engineer
Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering
Significant experience assisting clients with construction observation and administration
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, NEPA, CERCLA)
Familiar with engineering software (e.g., Microstation, GIS, modeling tools)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience in water resources, civil, and environmental engineering in both public and private sector
Proven track record in developing and overseeing quality design plans, specifications, and bid packages
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Attention to detail and accuracy
Leadership and mentoring capabilitiesAdaptability and teamwork
