Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is the only adult burn center in Maryland verified by the American Burn Association. Opened in 1968, the Center provides high-quality burn care with inpatient Burn Unit, Outpatient Burn Wound Clinic, and Scar Revision Clinic. Responsibilities
Pain management, fluid balance, critical care, stabilizing acutely burned patients, trauma recovery, and rehabilitation. Care for post-operative patients who undergo skin grafting or skin transplants. Monitor for infection and manage sepsis as skin integrity is impaired. Familiarization with complex dressing for complex wounds. Support patients in the Burn Unit, where they may stay until wounds heal; assist with dressing changes and patient showers. Qualifications, Experience and Education
RN license in Maryland or a compact state. CPR (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network). Associate Degree in Nursing; required to enroll in BSN program within one year of hire and complete within five years of hire. Minimum one year ICU experience required; previous burn ICU experience is a plus. Benefits and Compensation
