Overview
Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our community-based hospital in Attleboro, MA. We are a patient-focused organization and look to grow our team with providers dedicated to meaningful patient care. Since 1913, Sturdy Memorial Hospital has provided a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital is a 132-bed facility, with our Emergency Department seeing over 49,000 annual ED visits and 24-hour hospitalist coverage, including up to quadruple provider coverage per day and a staffed fast track area. Responsibilities
Provide care for patients evaluated and treated in the emergency department Utilize therapeutic means, laboratory data, and radiographic studies in coordination of care under the clinical supervision of the Chief, Emergency Services or their designee Provide direct patient care to our communities in a well-established community hospital Patient-centric mindset to provide the highest quality service and patient care Work alongside other physicians, advanced practitioners, nursing and support staff Work cross-functionally with hospitalists and other specialties Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital-based emergency department non-urgent care area or a minimum of a one year emergency medicine residency program Excellent command of verbal and written English Excellent operation of clinical equipment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to interact effectively with both adults and children Ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently Ability to work effectively and professionally with other clinical, nursing, and physicians Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions and work effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department Proficiency in technology usage Graduate of an accredited and / or approved physician assistant program Current license as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or ability to obtain ACLS / BLS certification Location:
