PharMerica is seeking a highly capable and motivated individual to join our team. PharMerica is a non-retail pharmacy that focuses on providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long‑term acute care centers, and other specialized care centers nationwide. This position will provide the opportunity to grow your pharmaceutical skills under the direct guidance of a state licensed pharmacist while providing essential care to our patients in our closed‑door pharmacy. Monday - Friday: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm (rotating weekends) Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology Ability to operate a computer, recognize and identify medications Detail oriented; goal oriented; team player; effective oral communication Pharmacy Technician license (state required) Desired Qualifications
Long Term Care pharmacy experience National Pharmacy Technician License Responsibilities
Fill prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels Participate in periodic inventory of the pharmacy Check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out‑of‑date items from inventory Prepare medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments (non‑sterile compounding) Communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant professional manner Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction Assist in training new employees Perform at least one of the following: Controlled Drugs room, automated machine prepack, inventory functions, data entry, IV medication prep and sanitation. Service facility‑based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow) Perform other tasks as assigned Benefits
