The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining a cutting-edge research facility by conducting inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and equipment. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, precision, and an unwavering commitment to safety, all of which are essential for ensuring the facility\'s operational reliability and uptime within a highly sensitive environment. Primary Responsibilities
General Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform a wide range of hands-on maintenance tasks, including HVAC filter changes, light carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general interior maintenance (e.g., hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture).
Equipment Upkeep:
Proactively conduct repairs on all facility equipment. Maintain tools, parts, and supplies in a clean, organized, and safe condition, acting as a key resource for the operations team.
Operational Support:
Assist the operations team by moving office furniture, machinery, and other materials as requested. Be prepared to support various facility-related projects and tasks as directed.
Documentation & Communication:
Maintain meticulous service documentation using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Clearly communicate with management and team members regarding operational issues, project timelines, and workload priorities.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively within a multi-skilled team environment. Flexibility to \"flow to the work\" is essential to accomplish all daily operations and maintenance tasks efficiently.
Punctuality & Compliance:
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Adhere strictly to all JLL and Google policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Education:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Experience:
A
minimum of 2 years
of hands-on field experience in facility maintenance or a related trade.
Technical Aptitude:
Must possess strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Experience with a
CMMS
is highly preferred.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency with general computer applications, including E-mail, Internet, and Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift a minimum of
50-100 lbs. , climb and work on ladders up to 25 ft, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills .
A
self-motivated
individual who can work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
Compensation & Location
Estimated compensation for this position:
59,914.00 – 94,700.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations. Location:
