Senior Manager of Regulatory Oversight (Natrium) The Senior Manager of Regulatory Oversight (Natrium) reports to the Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs and is responsible for managing or performing activities associated with NRC regulatory construction oversight. The position will lead the development of the license application, implement the licensing strategy, develop licensing programs and procedures, and assist in managing interactions with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, other regulatory authorities, and industry groups.

Responsibilities

Manage the development and implementation of the Construction Regulatory Oversight Plans

Manage the development, execution and maintenance of the schedule for the Construction Oversight Plans

Manage the planning, coordinating, organizing, and executing of ongoing regulatory oversight activities. Also, manage and be responsible for staffing (hiring, training/coaching, performance management, time management), reporting & budgeting activities related to the development of regulatory oversight activities

Manage and be responsible for meetings as well as preparation for interactions with the regulatory oversight authorities

Works closely with partner organizations to provide the required support on regulatory oversight activities

Assists in managing interactions and communications with the regulatory authorities

Supports the development and implementation of Regulatory Engagement Plans

Works closely with the design authority and design engineering groups to ensure adequate and timely responses to regulatory oversight issues

Actively participates in industry groups and forums, implementing lessons learned and industry best practices at TerraPower

Key Qualifications

B.S. degree with a strong experience base in the nuclear field; advanced degree is preferred

15+ years of direct nuclear reactor licensing and oversight management experience

15+ years of direct experience with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission

15+ years of direct experience in regulatory oversight

15+ years direct experience with NRC licensing and regulatory oversight programs for nuclear power reactors construction

The candidate must be an excellent communicator, team oriented, willing to operate within a matrix organization and be able to direct remote team members

Experience working with plant design and licensing teams is desirable

Experience with advanced reactors is desirable, but not mandatory

The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork

Job Details Salary Range Level 13: $194,197 - $279,158

*Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 1.0 of the mid‑point of the posted salary bands. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
