ESIS Auto / General Liability Claims Team Leader
ESIS, Inc. (ESIS) provides sophisticated risk management services designed to reduce claims frequency and loss costs. ESIS, the Risk Management Services Company of Chubb, offers claims, risk control & loss information systems to Fortune 1000 accounts. We employ over 1,500 professionals across nine regional centers and 15 major claims offices, along with local representatives in select jurisdictions. KEY OBJECTIVE: Supervise and direct Claims Representatives in investigating and settling claims to ensure prompt, efficient, and fair service.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Review initial notice of claim, assess coverage validity, and determine qualification for flow process. - Decide on measures when coverage is absent or questionable. - Assign work to Claims Representatives and delegate settlement authority in coordination with the Claim Vice President or Unit Manager. - Retain higher settlement authority for complex cases; directly settle cases when appropriate. - Oversee investigations and claim settlements, ensuring timely contact, investigation, and equitable resolution. - Establish and review loss reserves based on probable obligations. - Direct settlement negotiations and proceedings for subrogation or recovery. - Coordinate with Claims Attorneys for cases in litigation. - Participate in HR processes, including performance evaluations, training, recruitment, and staffing.
QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
