Junior Battery Engineer
to join their growing engineering team in
Tempe, AZ . This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the next generation of aerospace power solutions, working alongside experienced engineers on innovative and mission-critical projects. Overview
The position is with a client in the aerospace sector focused on power systems for aircraft. The role involves design, development, and testing of battery systems and support for R&D and commercialization of new technologies. Responsibilities
Support the
design, development, and testing
of new and existing battery systems for aerospace applications. Perform
cell modeling and analysis
to optimize design performance and reliability. Collaborate with mechanical engineers on packaging and integration of battery systems. Conduct
testing and validation
to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards. Prepare detailed technical reports documenting results and findings. Assist in
root cause analysis and continuous improvement
of existing battery systems. Provide technical support for
R&D and commercialization
of new technologies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering. 5+ years
of experience in battery design, testing, or development (Aerospace or OEM preferred). Strong understanding of
Li-ion battery systems , impedance, and testing methodologies. Experience with
battery testing equipment ,
data analysis , and documentation. Working knowledge of
MATLAB
and
SolidWorks
preferred. Familiarity with
FAA or aerospace qualification processes
is a plus. Must be a
U.S. Person
under ITAR regulations (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). Why This Role
