Responsibilities Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN), within their scope of practice, is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a designated group of healthcare consumers across the continuum. Provides services that encompass the spiritual, physiological, social, and psychological aspects of care, including disease prevention and health conservation. Assess patient and family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult populations, serving various age groups from young adults to geriatrics, demonstrating understanding of their developmental stages. The role requires active participation in fulfilling the organization’s mission and aligning with its Core Values, supporting strategic plans and hospital-wide performance improvement goals. If offered a position, attendance at New Employee Orientation (Monday) and Patient Orientation (Tuesday-Thursday) is required. NEO sessions are held every other Monday at St. Joes, except during weeks with a national holiday. Note: May be required to float to SJHMC and SJWMC as needed.
