Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment
Location: Springfield, MA 01199 (Western Massachusetts)
Facility Setting: Medical Intermediate Care Unit (IMC), 42 beds (21 medical & 21 intermediate care)
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
Shift: 12‑hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,990 – $2,130
PACU RN Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Massachusetts nursing license preferred)
Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or Intermediate Care nursing experience
Certifications: ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association required)
Proficient in tracheostomy care, ventilator management, high‑flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, BiPAP, and telemetry
Ability to float between medical‑telemetry and intermediate care units as needed
PACU RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to post‑anesthesia patients in the PACU and Intermediate Care Unit
Monitor and assess patient status, including vital signs, respiratory and cardiac function
Administer medications, manage IVs, cardiac drips, and operate respiratory support equipment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Float between units as needed to support patient care and hospital operations
