Job Description North Country Healthcare is seeking two experienced, full-time Pain Management Nurse Practitioners (APRN) to join our dynamic team at Weeks Medical Center, Androscoggin Valley Hospital, and outreach sites. This role provides compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients with acute and chronic pain, with a focus on medication management, helping to meet growing demand for services across our North Country locations.
Duties
Provide office-based evaluation, diagnosis, and management of pain conditions for new and established adult patients
Manage medications, including controlled substances, following best practices for safety and compliance (PDMP, urine drug screens)
Perform minor pain procedures (e.g., trigger point injections, joint injections, occipital nerve blocks, Botox for migraines)
Refer patients to CRNA colleagues for interventional procedures (e.g., epidural injections, radiofrequency ablation)
Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding pain management plans
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including CRNAs, physicians, and allied health professionals
Document care in Meditech Expanse EMR system
Participate in shared call rotation (phone only, no in-hospital call)

Essential Qualifications
Board certified by NCH Medical Staff Bylaws.
ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association required.
Licensed Nurse Practitioner (APRN) in New Hampshire (or eligible)
Minimum 2 years of experience in pain management
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills
Commitment to a compassionate, nonjudgmental, whole-person approach to pain care
X-waiver for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred but not required
