Role Overview The HIV Testing Counselor is vital to AHF's mission of compassionate and informed care. Within their duties of HIV testing, this position has the opportunity to engage in outreach within the community and educate those at risk. Caring, personable and relatable counselors enhance the probability of clients returning for services in the future.
Responsibilities
Conduct HIV testing, counseling, and education for at‑risk populations.
Engage in community outreach to promote testing and prevention.
Collaborate with the Public Health Division to develop outreach strategies.
Provide feedback to management to improve services and enhance team effectiveness.
Adapt to various situations with ease, maintaining flexibility and a team‑centred attitude.
Support the continuity and quality of care for clients by ensuring they are well‑informed about self‑protection.
Qualifications & Experience Preferred: Phlebotomy Technician I license. Valid driver’s license mandatory.
