Stewarding Supervisor
Join the Andaz Miami Beach team as a Stewarding Supervisor overseeing the daily operations of the stewarding team, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance in all food service areas.
Position Summary The Stewarding Supervisor will manage the stewarding team across three kitchens, support special events, and maintain high standards of service for the luxury lifestyle hotel.
Operational Oversight
Supervise and coordinate the stewarding team to ensure timely and efficient completion of cleaning, sanitization, and organization tasks.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in three kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Oversee the maintenance and proper use of dishwashing machines, cleaning equipment, and chemicals.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals for availability and cost efficiency.
Event Support
Attend and support special events to ensure seamless back‑of‑house operations.
Coordinate with event planners and culinary teams to meet specific setup and breakdown requirements.
Supervise the stewarding team during events, ensuring efficient execution of tasks under time‑sensitive conditions.
Leadership & Training
Train, mentor, and evaluate stewarding team members to promote professional growth.
Create and enforce schedules to ensure adequate coverage for daily operations and events.
Lead by example, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and work ethic.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with Executive Stewarding and kitchen teams to support kitchen and stewarding operations and special requests.
Communicate effectively with other departments to meet operational needs and resolve challenges.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with Andaz values.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role within stewarding or kitchen operations, preferably in a luxury hospitality setting.
Strong leadership, motivation, and team management skills.
Familiarity with back‑of‑house event operations, including setup, execution, and breakdown.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in health and safety standards, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in high‑temperature environments.
Availability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
