SUMMARY Responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, completing basic and major preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting minor equipment maintenance problems involving electrical, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement. Assists on projects assigned to the department, administers cosmetic repairs to facility finishes, and supports all areas of facilities maintenance as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with training and onboarding of existing and new staff.
Perform basic and major maintenance and repairs of facility equipment, including HVACR.
Make recommendations for process improvements.
Maintain routine inspections of all lighting throughout the property, identifying and resolving potential problems.
Respond to maintenance requests and in‑house calls within designated time frames.
Maintain pool facilities (if they exist) as assigned.
Work independently and advise supervisor of additional assistance needed.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area in the engineering shop.
Prepare daily work forms.
Maintain a working knowledge of all rules, regulations and controls.
Adhere to safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
2–5 years of experience with a significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, or on‑the‑job training.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, air conditioning maintenance, ice machines, and chiller plants.
HVACR certification, EPA I & II or universal license, Certified Pool Operator preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Must successfully complete a physical abilities test for essential functions, including a color blindness test.
Requires Level 4 Gaming License.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regularly stand, walk, sit, and use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects and tools.
Occasionally reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Regularly climb a 12‑foot ladder.
Ability to maintain close, distance, color, peripheral and depth vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Regular exposure to risk of electrical shock and chemicals used in facility maintenance. Noise level is usually loud; casino environment is typically smoky.
