TSMC Arizona's first fab will operate leading‑edge semiconductor process technology (N4), with production starting in the first half of 2025. A second fab will use N3 and N2 technologies and be operational in 2028. A third fab is planned to manufacture chips using 2nm and more advanced process technology by the end of the decade, supporting America's technology ecosystem.

As a Senior Hookup System Engineer, you will demonstrate reliability and enthusiasm, embodying our core values – Integrity, Commitment, Innovation, and Customer Trust.

Responsibilities

Lead the creation and implementation of installation procedures for process piping, mechanical, and/or electrical systems, ensuring quality and industry best practices.

Perform construction quality control by independently verifying system installations through site inspections, resolving discrepancies, and driving compliance with specifications, standards, and project timelines.

Oversee technical challenges and develop innovative solutions to support project success and efficiency.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including project managers, schedulers, CAD designers, tool owners, and contractors—to align goals, timelines, and milestones.

Provide technical leadership to contractors, delivering guidance for high‑quality installations.

Identify opportunities to improve construction processes and implement optimized methods to enhance efficiency and quality.

Manage specific project workstreams related to your area of expertise, including planning, coordination, and execution.

Utilize technical knowledge to support incident investigations and contribute to lessons learned to prevent recurrence.

Other related duties as required by business needs.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in engineering or construction projects.

Technical Skills: Experience managing engineering responsibilities and construction projects; knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks.

Interpersonal Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams; ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines; willingness to travel internationally and work on extended assignments abroad; adaptability to different work environments and time zones.

Physical Requirements: Regular grasping, manipulation, bending, reaching, and desk‑based computer work for data analysis and documentation.

Shift & Work Location

All Senior Hookup System Engineers may work a compressed work week (4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off) and may rotate to night shifts.

Scheduled night shifts and weekend on‑call rotations in a 24 / 7 manufacturing environment; night shifts are expected to be no more than 4 months per calendar year.

Standard work hours: Monday through Friday.

Work location: Phoenix, Arizona facility.
