Civil Project Engineer - Florida - Land & Site Development

We are looking for a Civil Project Engineer to focus on site development and redevelopment. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with experience in large‑scale multi‑family residential, retail, corporate, and industrial projects. Responsibilities include code compliance, documentation, and coordination with in‑house and sub‑consultant engineering teams.
Role accountabilities
Work with a Project Manager to assist with the completion of construction documents for site development, water resources and/or civil projects.
Preparation of construction documents, calculations, and reports for public or private clients.
Lead the design effort of public infrastructure roads, sidewalks, stormwater and utility improvements.
Lead the design effort of subdivision master plans, grading plans, and utility plans for new developments and redevelopments.
Work with municipalities on necessary permits.
Client interface and coordination.
Project management of site development or redevelopment.
Water management analysis experience with M-D DERM, Broward County EPD, and SFWMD.
Qualifications & Experience
A Florida‑licensed (PE) or PE candidate Civil Engineer with 3‑5 years of experience in land and site development.
Experience in the Civil / Land Development sector – single site and municipal type projects and the development of construction documents for public sector clients, including cities, counties, water districts, etc.
Proficient skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation is an asset.
The ability to work well with team members and develop and mentor staff.
Good communication and client relationship skills.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $132,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
