Neonatal Nurse Practitioner PT/FT

Elmhurst Hospital, Elmhurst, IL
Pay:
$57.76 - $80.86 per hour
Job Type:
Full Time / Part Time (average 20-40 hours/week)
Hours:
24/7 unit staffed, flexible hours
Required Travel:
None
Responsibilities
Provide medical care to newborns in labor & delivery, newborn nursery, and NICU during scheduled shifts.
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients treated.
Perform procedural tasks (PPV, intubation, central line insertion, chest tube placement, etc.).
Participate in quality improvement, policy review, and peer evaluation.
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff.
Engage in clinical research opportunities.
Qualifications
Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRNs) or Physician Assistant Associate (PAA) in Illinois; DEA and Controlled Substance Licenses required.
Master’s degree in Neonatology or related specialty.
Board certifications: BLS, NRP, and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NCC) or equivalent neonatal PA fellowship completion.
Minimum 5+ years of neonatal or acute pediatric experience preferred.
Special Knowledge & Skills
Newborn airway management including intubation.
Central line placement (umbilical and PCVC).
Newborn chest tube placement.
Equipment Utilized
Stethoscope, monitors, small baby equipment, ventilators (HFJV, HFOV, etc.), therapeutic hypothermia equipment.
