About the Role As a CBRE VAS – Institutional Funds Consultant you will prepare market value appraisals on simple real‑estate assets with considerable supervision and oversight, training and mentoring by a supervisory manager.
What You’ll Do
Oversee analysts on daily workflow and data management.
Build and update Argus models for all property types with mentorship from senior team members.
Prepare written market value reports from cover to cover with substantial analytical mentorship of a senior team member.
Complete analysis and research on simple appraisal assignments.
Analyze past revenue and expense performance and project a stabilized operating statement.
Research market area and analyze current transactions to compare with the subject property.
Examine and analyze simple income‑producing properties and write an analysis based on market comparisons.
Make a comparison analysis based on sales of similar properties.
Assist in preparing real‑estate appraisal reports, including entering data in the property database, cash flow modeling in AE, confirming data, conducting discussions with market participants, and performing additional research as needed.
Guide analysts on daily workflow and data management.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from a four‑year college or university required; master’s degree (MA, MS, MBA) preferred.
Minimum (5) years of commercial appraisal experience; institutional experience is a plus.
State certification (Certified General Appraisal License) required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills and ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
Ability to effectively present information.
Average knowledge of financial real‑estate terms and principles; basic understanding of approaches to value of real‑estate assets.
Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills; ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations and tackle problems in standard situations.
Proficiency in Argus, MS Word, and MS Excel; excellent writing skills.
Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines; errors in judgment may cause short‑term impact to co‑workers and supervisors.
Compensation and Benefits Salary: $115,000.00 – $125,000.00 annually. 401(k), dental, health, life, and vision insurance. Eligibility for discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s bonus program.
