Job Summary
Caterpillar is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for an exciting role based in Clayton, OH. In this role you will provide dedicated HR support and guidance to the leadership teams on strategic people priorities, providing tailored services and solutions in support of their business and talent needs.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with management as a business partner helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
Act as a trusted coach, collaborating with leaders and managers on HR‑related matters – including performance management, compliance, compensation, and benefits.
Align HR policies and programs for the business unit or region to promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
Provide training to frontline employees and business leaders regarding HR policies and procedures.
Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop data‑driven recommendations to senior management.
Collaborate with leadership in a consultative approach to structure performance review processes and individual contributor strategies.
Support senior HR Partners and Business Leaders with the identification and implementation of site investigations.
What You Have
Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed to make sound decisions.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Employee Relations: Knowledge of the rights and obligations in employee relations and ability to adhere to legal requirements.
Talent Management: Ability to develop talent strategies aligned with business needs.
Planning & Project Management: Develops and executes talent strategies with stakeholder alignment and timely delivery.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Experience leading through influence, driving change, and executing HR projects across the division.
HR experience, specifically in leading and conducting employee investigations.
Strong communication and prioritization skills.
Outstanding judgment and creative problem‑solving skills.
Additional Information
Location: Clayton, OH
Travel requirement may be up to 5%.
Onsite Monday to Friday, supporting all three shifts; potential flexible hours required.
Relocation is offered.

Summary Pay Range
$110,520.00 – $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, location, job-related knowledge, skills, performance and experience. Salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
