Residence Counselor – Adult Residence

Responsibilities
Supervise, engage and support adult consumers in a residential setting (transitional, crisis, and/or supported housing).
Provide direct care, assisting clients with all activities of daily living as needed, using direction, modeling, and prompting.
Provide client‑appropriate education and support to resolve crisis and to reduce barriers to independent living.
Assist in developing and facilitating service plans that promote greater independence and community integration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation, or a related field.
High school graduates with additional specific experience considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
High school diploma — four (4) years full‑time experience with related work or life experience.
Associate’s degree — two (2) years full‑time experience with related work or life experience.
Basic understanding of working with adults with a serious mental illness.
Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
Pay & Benefits St. Mary's General Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, a 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and a range of voluntary benefit options. Approximate starting compensation is $17.00 per hour; final salary will be based on experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
