An established plaintiff-side law firm in Macomb, Illinois seeks an experienced Workers’ Compensation Attorney to manage a dynamic docket of employment injury cases. The role offers the opportunity to advocate for injured workers while working closely with seasoned partners and a dedicated support team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a docket of workers’ compensation and employment injury cases from intake through resolution
Conduct investigations, client meetings, discovery, and motion practice
Prepare for and represent clients in hearings, trials, and post‑trial matters
Collaborate with senior attorneys and a dedicated paralegal to ensure effective case management
Uphold high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client communication
Qualifications
3–15 years of litigation and trial experience, preferably in workers’ compensation or injury law
Proven hearing/trial industrial commission experience required
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Illinois
Strong communication, legal research, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting
Genuine commitment to social justice, client advocacy, and community engagement
