Opportunity Adobe’s Emerging Products Group, also known as the Nextcam team, is seeking a Software Development Engineer with training and/or experience in modern AI, computer vision, image processing, or computational photography, to join our team in San Jose, California. This new team is led by VP and Fellow Marc Levoy and focuses on next‑generation image and video editing features powered by AI, computer vision, and computational photography. Recent work includes an AI‑based feature for removing window reflections from photographs, an AI model that automatically adjusts the tone and color of photographs, and Project Indigo—a mobile camera app that demonstrates the potential of computational photography and AI on iPhone.

What You’ll Do
Work with researchers to develop and tune AI‑heavy features for photography and video applications.
Profile and optimize AI models for use in Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom, Photoshop, and other products.
Translate image‑processing code from Python into C++ for integration into Camera Raw or other codebases.
Collaborate with engineers on other Adobe teams to deploy AI models in Linux‑based cloud servers.
Convert AI models from Python into CoreML, ONNX, or other formats for deployment on MacOS, Windows, iOS, Android devices.
Develop software tools and workflows to facilitate and automate these tasks, and support long‑term maintenance.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI research, model conversion, and deployment tools.
What You Need To Succeed
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with computer vision, computational photography, and/or modern AI applied to these fields.
Interest in applying skills to broadly defined photography and videography problems.
Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
Experience with AI tools such as PyTorch, CoreML, LiteRT, ONNX.
Plus: knowledge of iOS or Android platforms and mobile app development environments.
Plus: experience programming on GPUs or other hardware accelerators.
Passion for quality and engineering excellence.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Compensation: The U.S. pay range for this position is $133,900 – $242,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on experience and job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
