General Surgeon – Dignity Health – Sacramento, CA
We are seeking a dedicated general surgeon to join our independent practice partner, Sierra Pacific Surgical, at Mercy General Hospital and our outpatient surgery center. This role offers the opportunity to develop a robust practice within a region that experiences growing demand for surgical services.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
Build and maintain a high‑volume practice supported by robust referral bases.
Perform a wide variety of general surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic techniques.
Operate at Mercy General Hospital and the affiliated outpatient surgery center, utilizing daVinci surgical systems and a full range of surgical and radiology services.
Share call responsibilities with a 24/7 anesthesia coverage team.
Participate in mentorship and collaborative partnership opportunities within the group.
Contribute to entrepreneurial initiatives and practice development as desired.

Qualifications
Completion of an ACGME‑accredited general surgery training program.
Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery.
Minimum of 2+ years of post‑training general surgical experience (preferred).
Fellowship training in minimally invasive or robotic surgery preferred.
Excellent clinical and surgical skills with a strong understanding of general surgical conditions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient‑centered care.
