We are hiring a swing shift and a nocturnist physician. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

We take pride in our well-established team, which currently comprises 16 members, including six daytime rounders, one swing physician, one nocturnist, and a clinical performance registered nurse at Washington Hospital. A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required. Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. An active medical license in California or eligibility for licensure is required. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Scheduling
The swing position schedule is 12 pm to 12 am. The nocturnist schedule is 7 pm to 7 am. 7 on / 7 off block schedule. Key Responsibilities
The nocturnist role is responsible for admissions and cross coverage, swing hospitalist support from 7 pm-12 am. The swing position is responsible for admissions, with support of six hospitalists (flex to 7 during busier winter months) as well as overlap with the Nocturnist physician from 7 pm to 12 am. Washington Hospital is a 415‑bed acute‑care hospital with a 28‑bed ICU and 23‑bed emergency room. Closed ICU – the ICU team runs 24/7 intensivist support and codes. Manageable workload and encounters foster a balanced and supportive work environment. Epic EMR and have access to Sound Physicians' internal informatics platform for streamlined and efficient workflow. Living and Working in Fremont

Compensation:
Annual base salary for a nocturnist: $382,200 plus quality and productivity bonuses. Annual base salary for the swing position: $354,900 plus quality and productivity bonuses.
