Chief Executive Officer

North Olympic Healthcare Network (NOHN) . This is a highly respected, well managed FQHC with a strong and inspiring mission. NOHN is deeply committed to serving the healthcare needs of the community, improving access and making a difference in people’s lives. The culture values collaboration, trust, and integrity, creating an environment where staff, patients, and community partners feel supported and empowered. The position is based in Port Angeles, WA.
About the Organization: In 1979, two physicians finished residency training in Spokane in the relatively new specialty of Family Medicine. They wanted to bring those skills to a rural community and chose Port Angeles, hanging out their shingle in a small house on 16th and C streets. They, and those of us who later joined their partnership, became Family Medicine of Port Angeles and practiced the principles at the heart of good primary care – providing high-quality care for people regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, or presenting complaint in a continuous, caring, personal relationship.
Nearly 40 years, more than 10,000 patients, and thousands of delivered babies later, Family Medicine’s dedication to those primary care principles remained unwavering, even in the face of momentous changes with healthcare. But the growing number of uninsured and under-insured people in the community struggling to access basic healthcare moved us to pursue a path to transform to a Community Health Center model. In 2015 we became the first, and remain the only, full-scope Federally Qualified Health Center in Clallam County.
NOHN serves the community in three clinic locations, offering medical, behavioral health, pharmacy, dental, and eye care. For details about NOHN, please visit: https://www.nohn-pa.org/.
About the Position: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a critical leadership position responsible for providing strategic, operational, and visionary leadership for the center. The CEO oversees the overall management, operations, and strategic direction, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare services to underserved populations. This role involves partnering with the Board of Directors in advancing the health center’s mission, setting goals, managing resources, building relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization. A core responsibility is maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including those from HRSA.
We are seeking an inspiring, strategic leader to guide the health center into its next chapter. The CEO will be passionate about advancing innovative care models and have the flexibility to adapt as the community health landscape evolves. Success in this role requires the ability to articulate a compelling vision, motivate and engage staff, and drive meaningful organizational change. This is an exceptional opportunity for a leader who embraces the mission, energizes the team, and brings enthusiasm and purpose to every part of the organization.

Experience serving in a senior-level leadership role in a community health organization or FQHC is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated leadership and management experience with a proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, human resources management, and organizational growth is necessary.
Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives and navigating complex, fast-paced environments with multiple priorities and objectives.
Established track record of building and sustaining strategic, collaborative relationships with funders and community partners.
