We are seeking a senior Finance professional to serve as the top Accounting and Finance leader for the Commercial Flight Controls Division. This critical role combines hands on operational ownership of day to day finance activities with a strategic partnership responsibility — setting financial strategy and advising the General Manager in driving divisional performance. Scope & Reporting
The Division Controller functionally supervises all the accounting team members in the group. Will directly supervise Division Accounting: General Accounting, Budgeting, Planning and Analysis. Interfaces on accounting and control issues with all levels of leadership. Key Responsibilities
Continually reviews the accounting requirements of the division and directs the development and installation of appropriate systems. Prepares statements of monthly financial data including income statement and balance sheet. Analysis of financial results as compared to monthly objectives. Responsible for the financial performance measurements within the division, while ensuring financial performance reporting is accurate and timely meeting the constant changing need of the division and group. Accountable for proper procedures, policies and controls being in place to maintain strong internal controls. Responsible for internal and external reporting and for maintaining integrity, while assuring that Generally Accepted Accounting Practices are in place. Respond to special financial requests and analysis and communicate potential problem areas. Leads the talent management and employee development processes for the accounting team. Directs the annual division planning process with emphasis on installing a proactive reporting system needed to support the management decision-making process. Reviews and evaluates investments in all operating assets. Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience with leadership responsibility in a complex manufacturing environment, Aerospace experience strongly preferred Deep knowledge of financial planning & analysis, program costing, contract pricing, and compliance (GAAP, SOX) Demonstrated ability to partner with senior operational leaders and influence strategic decisions Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills; proficiency with ERP and business intelligence tools Competitive Compensation
