MSN or MSN Nursing Education required. Active New Jersey RN License or approved compact license with NJ endorsement required. BLS from the American Heart Association required. Full-Time / 37.5 Hours Per Week Monday through Friday with shift flexibility to meet departmental needs Essential Functions

The Critical Care Nurse Educator is a registered professional nurse with expertise in both the critical care clinical setting and nursing professional development and education. Ability to understand and apply the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards of Practice and the Association of Critical Care Nursing Standards. Member of the Nursing Leadership team, supporting the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values, and participating in shared governance. Develop and apply Standards of Care and policies to enhance quality of care for patients and families. Act as educator, practitioner, consultant and change agent. Assess learner progress and develop group and individual learning plans. Foster clinical development of staff; assess ongoing educational needs; serve as resource/coach for nursing staff, fellow educators, management, and other healthcare professionals. Possess clinical experience, training, and education aligned with specialty focus; assist in onboarding, orientation, and clinical practice evaluation of RNs and professional staff in Adult Critical Care. Participate in the Nurse Residency Program. Demonstrate clinical competency in the Critical Care environment per Association of Critical Care Nursing Standards of Practice. May assist in other departments as requested by nursing leadership. Demonstrated teaching ability required.
