The Developer Experience team provides mission‑critical services to the wider software engineering community at DRW. This is a dynamic role that blends end‑to‑end service ownership, development work through strategic projects, and dedicated support to our internal customers. Our support work offers ample opportunities to sharpen your troubleshooting skills while collaborating with other engineering teams to inform future project work and improvements. Role requires in‑office work 3 days per week. What you will do

In this role, you will navigate novel build challenges, refine observability and alerting systems, and build great developer workflows. Your efforts will not only advance our team's delivery capabilities but also enable all engineers at DRW to do their best work. Collaborate with leaders, trading teams, and developers to act as a force multiplier of the engineering population across the company. Work within a team with product and technical ownership of services provided by the Developer Experience team, encompassing source control, build artifact repositories, AI‑powered development tools, and other software development and delivery tools. Participate in a scheduled support rotation to help internal engineering teams get the most out of our developer platforms, diagnosing complex CI workflows, managing central infrastructure in Kubernetes, and ensuring our tools are fully leveraged by internal developers. Investigate and resolve intricate systems or build issues during support rotations, building valuable relationships with other DRW development teams. Improve service reliability, performance, and observability of firm‑wide critical infrastructure and tooling. Work in a hybrid infrastructure environment, cloud and on‑prem, using infra‑as‑code patterns to reliably manage and scale the services we own. Educate users on our tools, conduct end‑user demonstrations as needed, and maintain high‑quality self‑service documentation. About You

Strong relationship building and communication skills, able to positively influence all areas of the organization's software delivery life cycle (SDLC). Stellar written communication, ensuring your messages resonate widely. Pragmatic, balancing present needs with future optimizations, ensuring all solutions are sustainable for the long term. Problem‑solver comfortable handling tasks from troubleshooting low‑level OS issues to architecting robust artifact storage solutions. Passionate about Continuous Integration and Delivery, striving to avoid Continuous Irritation and Disappointment. Intrinsic motivation, curiosity, dedication to learning, and a collaborative spirit. Key Skills and Technologies

Experience debugging and triaging complex systems. Experience using configuration management tooling such as Terraform to manage infrastructure repeatably. Experience managing highly available Linux systems, both on‑prem and in cloud environments. Experience supporting containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, FluxCD or ArgoCD, and Helm. Experience providing direct support to internal engineers with customer empathy during scheduled business‑hours rotations. Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. 3‑5 years of development experience and proficiency in at least one high‑level programming language, such as Go, Python, or Java. The annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $175,000, dependent on experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
