As a Senior Software Engineer in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, you will solve challenging technical problems and contribute to the development, delivery, and operation of cloud services that enable the delivery of novel consumer video applications. The charter is to design, implement, and operate new cloud services focused on the digital media production industry, including virtual animation workstation services, digital asset management, high‑performance storage, render farm as a service, license management, and production pipeline management services. This role offers the opportunity to build a competitive offering from the ground up and extend OCI’s reach into green‑field media and entertainment opportunities.
You will work with a talented group of software developers, designing scalable, highly available cloud services in a world‑class cloud development environment. We seek an individual with enterprise‑level software development experience, cloud services delivery and operation, and, ideally, domain knowledge in media production pipeline infrastructure used in film, animation, and game development studios.
Responsibilities
Design cloud services for availability, scalability, observability, and testability.
Implement, validate, and document microservices and their components.
Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver and operate services that enable animation, film, and game studios to run their production workflows in the cloud.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and driving innovation.
Launch new cloud services and establish operational excellence.
Work collaboratively to realize and achieve the technical vision of the team.
Engage with geographically distributed engineering teams.
Ensure compliance with software development standards, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications
BS/CS Computer Science or related field and 3+ years of software development experience with modern programming languages.
Large/enterprise‑scale software development and engineering experience, particularly with cloud services and distributed systems.
Domain knowledge and experience with media‑production workflows and pipelines, including digital asset management, 3D frameworks, universal scene description, scene graphs, layers and models, 3D data packaging, rendering workflows, image composition, and the tools used by artists, engineers, editors, and content creators.
Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
Training and experience in software implementation, code and design review, and root‑cause failure analysis.
Designing for availability, observability, scalability, testability, and recoverability.

US: Hiring range $79,200 – $178,100 per year. Eligible for bonus and equity.
