Job Summary

The Corporate Insurance Claims Manager works under minimal supervision and with appreciable latitude for actions and decisions, assists in ensuring that the Company maintains an effective Corporate Insurance Program which includes the types of insurance coverages that would be typical for a company with a similar risk profile to the Company. The role is responsible for policy and claims administration tasks relating to the Company’s Property and Casualty (including Workers Compensation) Insurance Program, including tracking policies to prevent lapses and reporting, investigating, and tracking claims under such policies.

The manager also responds to requests for information from regulators, other departments, landlords, and others, manages the issuance of Certificates of Insurance (COI) at renewal and midterm, and performs administrative/ministerial tasks, such as ensuring premium invoices are timely paid and logged, responding to governance and related administrative requests, and filing miscellaneous insurance paperwork.

Job Responsibilities Manages the claims administration process for the Company’s Property and Casualty insurance program, from First Notice of Loss through completion, including receiving, investigating, filing, and logging incident reports; performing claims analysis to determine trends, root causes, and prevention measures; and identifying remedial measures and loss control efforts.

Obtain details related to incidents, such as date, location, and extent of damage, and respond to carrier requests for additional documentation.

Assist in the management of litigation related to the Company’s P&C insurance program, including reviewing summonses and complaints, coordinating with outside defense counsel, generating litigation hold letters, tracking discovery requests, and ensuring timely pleading deadlines.

Respond to requests for information about the Company’s Corporate Insurance Program from auditors, regulators, other business units, landlords, and others; manage issuance of Certificates of Insurance for all lines of coverage by brokers at renewal or midterm; review leases to determine required coverage information and maintain tracking spreadsheets.

Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks such as filing insurance policies, ensuring premium invoices are paid and logged, responding to internal governance requests (e.g., Archer ERM, BCP, Operational Risk Reporting, Record Retention), and tracking claims under Employment Practices Liability Insurance and renewals of bonds in the Surety Bond program.

Assist in procuring insurance policies, gathering underwriting information, completing renewal applications, and responding to broker and underwriter requests and risk assessments.

Mentor and assist junior-level personnel.

Perform special projects and additional duties as required.

Consistently adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and complete required compliance trainings.

Required Qualifications High School diploma/GED/Foreign Equivalent.

Minimum 6+ years of experience working within a professional corporate environment; including at least 3+ years supporting Insurance functions.

Preferred Qualifications Undergraduate Degree in business, law, finance, or related field.

Experience working at a $100B+ Bank or other major financial institution.

Job Competencies Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and SharePoint.
