Overview A leading energy infrastructure firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Associate Corporate Counsel
to join its high-performing legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on transformative energy projects across North America, including electric transmission, renewable energy, and emerging clean technologies. The position is ideal for a junior attorney eager to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal support throughout the full lifecycle of energy infrastructure projects—from design and permitting to construction and operation.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including construction, consulting, procurement, and real estate contracts.
Evaluate legal risks and deliver clear, business-focused recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Support construction management by assessing change orders and advising on contract compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, finance, regulatory, and asset management.
Manage outside counsel relationships and assist with dispute resolution and litigation as needed.
Contribute to regulatory, environmental, and compliance matters.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
0-4 years of legal experience; recent graduates with relevant internships or clerkships are encouraged to apply.
Background in project development, construction, real estate, energy, or environmental permitting.
Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong judgment, attention to detail, and a client-service mindset.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
