About the Team

You will be joining a fast‑moving and rapidly growing team dedicated to reimagining how students interact with Quizlet and its products. Our primary goal is to encourage users to return more frequently for longer study sessions, ultimately helping them achieve academic success. To meet these objectives, you'll collaborate closely with a cutting‑edge engineering team that leverages the latest AI methodologies for Quizlet’s search and recommendations system. Our team is dynamic and agile, designed to quickly adapt to user feedback as we push forward with major product innovations. About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will design and refine the content system that powers recommendations, search, and engagement across Quizlet. You’ll work closely with product managers to ensure the content delivered to users aligns with their specific context, learning goals, and subject mastery. To achieve this, you’ll collaborate with machine learning engineers, data scientists, subject matter experts, and data engineers. This is an onsite position; employees must be in the office at a minimum of three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and as needed by your manager.

In This Role, You Will

Develop and articulate a data‑driven product strategy that ensures Quizlet leverages the latest advancements to support new use cases and serve our students effectively.

Partner with user research and design teams to conduct user interviews, synthesize insights, and inform the product roadmap. Work with the data science & analytics team to quantify user behavior and product gaps.

Break down large, ambiguous problem spaces, prioritize them, and focus the team on key hypotheses.

Work closely with cross‑functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high‑quality, impactful study‑enhancing features.

Collaborate with marketing and subscription teams to ensure features reach the right users at the optimal time in their learning journey.

Advocate for the role of user‑centric design and UX in the overall Quizlet product roadmap.

What You Bring To The Table

5+ years of product management experience with a focus on personalized recommendations & search experiences.

Proven track record of building and testing delightful user experiences and delivering quantifiable results.

Enthusiasm for being involved in every step of the product development process, from understanding user needs to analyzing metrics and building roadmaps.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment with imperfect information and limited resources.

Excitement about enhancing learning experiences for millions of students worldwide through innovative online study tools.

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience working in EdTech or an educational background in learning science.

Moderate SQL experience: ability to self‑serve on basic analysis and read SQL written by an analyst.

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $155,000 – $195,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options.
