Position Overview We are looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our team. The role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care (preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative) across multiple surgical specialties.

This can include general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, gynecology, obstetrics & labor & delivery, orthopedics, vascular, thoracic, pediatrics; also opportunities for subspecialty coverage (e.g., cardiac / cardiothoracic anesthesia) depending on interest and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate patients preoperatively : review medical history, labs / imaging, comorbidities, risk factors; develop individualized anesthesia plans.

Administer anesthesia (general, regional, local, sedation) during surgeries, obstetric procedures, pediatric cases, etc.

Monitor patients intraoperatively : vital signs, airway, fluid status, cardiac / respiratory / hemodynamic stability; make adjustments as required.

Provide post-anesthesia care : recovery room management; assess for complications; manage pain; ensure safe emergence.

Collaborate with surgeons, OR staff, nursing, obstetric teams, pediatric teams, etc., to coordinate patient care.

Participate in labor & delivery / obstetric anesthesia as needed.

If applicable, cover subspecialty service lines (e.g., cardiac / thoracic anesthesia) and possibly mentoring or supervising other anesthesia providers.

Maintain accurate documentation for all anesthesia cases.

Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and peer review activities.

Ensure compliance with all hospital and state / federal regulations, patient safety protocols, infection control.

Be available for call / overnight / weekend coverage as per group scheduling.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from accredited medical school.

Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency program.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (American Board of Anesthesiology, etc.).

Valid New Jersey medical license (or eligible to obtain).

Strong clinical skills in a variety of surgical settings. Experience in both adult and pediatric cases is preferred.

Ability to perform under pressure, good decision-making, excellent clinical judgment.

Good communication skills, working well within a multi-disciplinary team.

Commitment to patient safety, high ethical standards.
