Who You’ll Work With The Chief Data Office consists of the Advanced Practices Unit, Advanced Analytics COE, and Enterprise Data Management and Strategy teams. Reporting into the Advanced Analytics function, the team is charged with evolving the enterprise into a data‑driven market‑leading life & retirement firm. You will work with high‑performing data scientists supporting distribution, advisory, product, pricing, marketing, investments, in‑force optimisation, and balance sheet risk management functions across the enterprise.
About The Role Corebridge Financial is seeking a Junior Data Scientist, Advanced Analytics to support profitable growth in revenue and AUM/AUMA across our business units. In this role, you will use advanced analytics to generate and synthesize insights and recommendations on ambiguous, complex, high‑stakes, and strategic business problems, and develop statistical and machine learning models across a wide range of use cases from forecasting, optimisation, prioritisation, to next‑best‑action.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to understand business problems.
Translate ambiguous and/or complex business problems into tractable technical problems.
Work with and transform large data sets to generate insights and recommendations.
Build and maintain data pipelines.
Develop visualisations, dashboards, and reports to communicate insights.
Develop statistical, machine learning, and generative AI models under the guidance of a lead data scientist.
Define, track, and report on metrics for experiments and pilots.
Support enterprise‑wide Data, Analytics, and AI practice management.
Skills And Qualifications
0‑2 years of related work experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ambitious, highly motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Major in one of the following: Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science.
Strong fundamentals in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R.
Experience building machine learning models.
Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $112,000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, skills, experience, and other qualifications.
Work Location This position is based in one of Corebridge Financial’s offices in Houston, Texas; Woodland Hills, California; or Jersey City, New Jersey, and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely. The position is expected to be in‑office two days a week.
Estimated Travel May include up to 25% travel.
