About the Position We are seeking a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner for a 120‑day locum tenens assignment in Rhode Island, starting Nov 3, 2025. This role involves inpatient civil and forensic psychiatric care, Monday through Friday, with day shifts from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate will have experience with schizophrenia, mental health, and personality disorders. Forensic experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide inpatient civil and forensic psychiatric care

Evaluate and manage patients with schizophrenia, mental health conditions, and some personality disorders

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans

Complete documentation and ensure compliance with facility protocols

Participate in case discussions and ongoing patient care reviews

Additional Information

Rhode Island license required

Board certification in Psychiatry required

Forensic psychiatry experience preferred, but not mandatory
