Your Role MilliporeSigma in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a meticulous and motivated Associate Quality Control Chemist to join our dynamic team. In this role, the chemist will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products through routine and autonomous analytical testing, working within established procedures, and leveraging technical expertise to contribute to our team's success.

Perform routine chemical analyses using various techniques (titration, spectroscopy, chromatography) and operate, maintain, and calibrate analytical instrumentation

Accurately document, process, and input analytical data into management and tracking systems, ensuring data integrity against specifications

Manage laboratory samples and reagents, perform necessary calculations, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Uphold and contribute to the quality management system by maintaining accurate records, identifying deviations, updating SOPs, and participating in audits

Train new team members, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and communicate technical information and operational updates to internal and external stakeholders

Days/hours: 2nd shift -2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday-Friday

Physical Attributes

May wear appropriate protective gear, such as respirators and chemical protective clothing, for long periods of time while performing daily tasks

May involve occasional lifting and pushing of up to 50 pounds

Who You Are Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other life science discipline

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a quality control or laboratory setting

Good customer service and communications skills, both verbal and written

Basic understanding of analytical tools and equipment

Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices

Proficiency with computing chemical calculations and conversions

Database management software skills

Pay Range for this position: $24-$44 per hour.

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
