The Department of Health, Air Quality Laboratory has ONE (1) urgent vacancy located at the Hawaii State Laboratory in Pearl City, Oahu. Responsibilities
Set up, calibrate, maintain and repair air quality control equipment in the laboratory and at sampling sites throughout the State.
Perform routine standard chemical and statistical tests to verify accuracy of recording instruments and the findings of others.
Maintain quality assurance records.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Legal Authorization to Work:
Citizens, nationals or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
General Experience:
ONE (1) year of technical experience in calibrating, maintaining, and repairing electronic air monitoring equipment such as spectrophotometer, carbon monoxide analyzer, nitric oxide‑nitrogen dioxide analyzer or equivalent equipment; ability to operate and perform standardized corroborative statistical or chemical tests.
